Research & development at Aqualis

We design condensate management around one conviction: the best solution is the one nobody notices — not the occupant, not the installer, not the building.

Our approach

Our approach

Innovation at Aqualis starts on the installation site — with the noise, heat, space and water constraints professionals face every day.

16dB(A)
Maximum sound level at 1 m on AD-CY01 and AD-BU01
1,000h
Rated continuous operation
15m
Maximum discharge head on lifting pumps
100–240V
Universal power supply for global markets
Development process

From field insight to validated product.

A structured development path turns installer feedback into platforms that perform from day one.

  1. Understand

We start from real installation constraints: available space, drain distance, occupant sensitivity to noise and ambient heat.

  2. Design

Architecture, materials and pump technology are selected to meet acoustic, sealing and safety targets.

  3. Validate

Prototypes are measured and tested against performance, endurance, ingress and thermal requirements.

  4. Industrialise

Validated designs move to production with complete kits, clear documentation and a 24-month warranty.

Testing & validation

Specified, measured, validated.

Every figure we publish is tied to a defined test condition, so professionals can compare and specify with confidence.

  • Sound level stated at a distance of 1 m
  • Maximum flow rate stated at 0 m head, with discharge head up to 15 m
  • Continuous operation rated at 1,000 hours
  • Ingress protection IP66 / IP67 through resin encapsulation
  • Ambient temperature rating up to 70 °C (AD-CY01, AD-BU01)
  • 3 A safety contact to stop the air conditioner on high water level
Engineering domains

Six areas of expertise in every Aqualis product.

Each platform brings these disciplines together in a compact, installer-friendly package.

Acoustic engineering

Pumps designed and specified for silence, with sound levels measured at one metre — as low as 16 dB(A).

Endurance validation

Diaphragm pump technology rated for 1,000 hours of continuous operation and up to 15 m of discharge head.

Sealing & materials

Resin-encapsulated pump bodies rated IP66 or IP67, heat tolerance up to 70 °C and silver-ion reservoir protection.

Condensate recovery

Atomisation, filtration and anti-siphon control that turn condensate into a resource for the outdoor unit.

Safety & control

Smart on/off, high-level detection and safety contacts that protect equipment and buildings.

Hygiene

Silver-ion antibacterial beads that limit mould, biofilm and odours in lifting-pump reservoirs.

Design for installation

Engineered around the installer.

Compact formats, complete kits and clear status indicators reduce time on site and the risk of callbacks.

  • 132 mm monobloc body and reservoir (AD-CY01)
  • Remote reservoir with 1 m suction (AD-BU01)
  • Integration in 80 × 60 mm trunking (AD-GE01)
  • External filter and three status LEDs (AD-PS02)
